The programme for the 16th
August ( a date by now indelibly imprinted on your conscious,
subconscious and anything beyond and inbetween, I'm sure !! ) is as follows (
order to be confirmed ) :
Cabaret
Les Mis
choir item
Phantom
Chess
INTERVAL
I'd do anything
Fiddler
choir item
Sound of Music
Cats
Mack the Knife
We will need to gather at the PumpHouse at
midday, to set up, warm up and tune carefully, and top and tail
numbers.
The choir will be there ready to run Sound of Music at
1 pm, and you will have time for a quick byo
lunch ( the cafe may be busy ! )
at 1.30 - the concert starts at 2 pm.
I realize this means having bring along family rather
early before the start of the concert ; there is the cafe next door, or perhaps
drop them at the Takapuna mall on the way - it's a mere 5 - 10 minute walk up
the road to the PumpHouse from there ...
IMPORTANT : IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE UNAVOIDABLY
DELAYED AND NOT ABLE TO BE THERE AT MIDDAY YOU MUST
LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE !!! ( Otherwise you might have to come buy me flowers
when I'm in hospital recovering from a minor heart attack ... )
As a very last resort, in case of unforeseen disaster,
txt me on the day on 021 464826 - but bear in mind that if you are not
actually in mortal danger when you call or txt - you may well be the next
time I see you !! :)
Well, in the meantime I look forward to seeing you ALL
next Tuesday ( no pressure, yeah right ! ) -
especially people who have not been for a while but who to my knowledge are
playing the concert ... Lisa ... ? Mahmoud ...? ...Rosemary ... ? ... ?
...
Crank up the practise now; make it a priority in your
daily routine - just for a few weeks ! :)
remember to bring Tuners, and keep using the old handy
dandy metronome !
Well - this email did start nice, turns out that was
just shallow flattery ...? No way ! You guys are doing great, and it will be a
great show - really looking forward to it !!
Last but not least, get those tickets sold : this gig
is our big fundraiser - but only if we have plenty of paying audience !!
Good night,
Greetings, Claudia
